M81 – Bode’s Galaxy

Bode’s galaxy is a popular DSO due to its luminosity and ease of imaging. It is a fairly large object viewed from earth located in the Ursa Major (Grote Beer) constellation. The spiral arms are clearly visible surrounding a very bright inner core.

This was one of my first attempts at gathering galaxy data and reprocessing the data myself. While the editing is far from perfect it is a good first attempt. I will definitely be revisiting this galaxy!

Data gathered by Seestar s50. Stacked in Siril and processed in GraXpert and Siril.
